De Quincey’s No Cold Feet

If you have a moment head to Sydney’s St Mary’s Cathedral at dusk tomorrow evening for an otherworldly experience. It will be your last chance to catch the site specific dance piece No Cold Feet by the locally based De Quincey Company. The beautiful and intriguing dance works its magical way from the cathedral stairs to the pond before eventually fading into the darkness of the park; all the while weaving in and out of the daily life of the city with its skateboarders, tourists and office workers scurrying home.

This epic 40 minute dance is part of Art and About and references a Japanese style of contemporary dance called Bodyweather, with clear references to martial arts and butoh.
